“As Australia’s premier mass participation multi-sport event, our participants come from all walks of life and from all over Australia. The Avalon Airport Games Village will not just provide the practicality of a central meeting and administration point, but will also help encourage the social atmosphere that is the spirit of the Australian Masters Games.”
“We could not think of a better place to host the Avalon Airport Games Village than Kardinia Park, the heart of sport in Geelong, and one of regional Victoria’s best sporting grounds.”
Justin Giddings, CEO of Avalon Airport, felt that as the gateway to Geelong it made sense to support the Australian Masters Games.
“Being able to host such an iconic event in Geelong is massive for the local community and surrounding areas. We wanted to do more than just help interstate participants get to the Games. Supporting the Games village is the perfect way to support the Australian Masters Games in Geelong and further welcome the participants to Geelong.”
